Emily Cooper and The Healing Wisdom Medicine Center prioritizes the health and safety her patients and their communities at all times. Within the current environment of the COVID-19 pandemic, she has expanded her stringent cleaning protocol to include policies that will maximize the safety of her patients and clinic, as detailed below.
Enhanced cleaning procedures have been employed to ensure surfaces and primary touchpoints are disinfected after each appointment and at the end of each day. The center has air filters in each room that exceed HEPA requirements, and is cleaned using cleaners approved by the CDC as protective to Coronavirus (Sars-Cov-2), and each appointment will be scheduled with a 15 minutes delay after the appointment prior to permit a thorough disinfection. Between each appointment, rooms will be thoroughly disinfected, sheets will be discarded, and all hard surfaces will be cleaned. Emily sanitizes her hands before, during, and after each patient interaction and has made hand sanitizer available for each patient upon entry.
Emily asks that any current patient experiencing, or exposed to someone experiencing symptoms of COVID (shortness of breath, fever, cough, new loss of taste or smell, or nausea) contact her to reschedule/cancel their in-person appointment, with care through her virtual services as an option. The cancellation fee will be waived in these cases. All healthy patients with scheduled appointments will be screened for COVID symptoms 24 hours prior to their in-office appointment. In addition, for the safety of all, we ask that no guests accompany patients to their appointments unless previously approved.
Personal Protective Equipment
As practitioner, Emily will wear a surgical mask at all times and newly laundered clothing in the center. All patients will be required to wear a face mask at all times during the entirety of their appointment. Payments will be made via PayPal or Zelle, no checks or cash will be accepted at this time. Additionally, patient appointments will be spaced such that no overlap will occur in waiting areas. Further, each appointment will be scheduled with a 15 minutes delay after the appointment prior to permit time to thoroughly disinfect the treatment room between each patient.
Emily Cooper aims to ensure care is delivered in the highest standards. She has a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine with 10 years of experience and she continues her education with sincerity and enthusiasm, studying innovative ways to integrate Chinese medicine with conventional medical treatment, in addition to the delivery of Chinese medicine itself. She is Board Certified in Acupuncture and has passed examination in Clean Needle Technique. Emily only uses sterile, single-use acupuncture needles, which she disposes of safely after each treatment. Each treatment room is warm, comfortable, and peaceful, yet also organized and clean, as you would expect for any medical procedure.
